This looks like it's just gonna be rivals reincarnated together become lovers. Rivals to lovers is probably one of the more fun types of romance. Honestly, any romance where they interact with eachother enthusiastically through a mutual interest has good potential for a 'fun' romance.

well, at least he woke up after having been born, and not during the process of being born, we never seen that in these kind of series... guess thats kinda fortunate in its own way, it would be kinda traumatizing for both us the readers and the character to get a first hand experience of that.

And if both wanted peace, they could've unite and with, obviously a lot of soldiers who respected them and would follow them, lead a revolt against the warmongering elite! War ended and no need to reincarnate!
