It might work to think about it as trying to include both multiverse/branching and time travel together

I kind of understand but I feel like there's a lot of stuff here and the explanation is sorta ass. It just throws elria's back story at us which is a big plot point to begin with and then tacks on this whole time travel thing PLUS this hero reincarnation and divinity aspect too. It's just so much to try and cover and I feel like it'll only get worse when we start talking to this other person who changed 'the current' past. Plus it feels like there's maybe more to it that a translation couldn't convey.

It also might be on the road to being axed so they're trying to introduce a bunch of stuff quickly so they can give it some basic ending. Might be worth it if people are invested to just go check out the LN.

two questions:

first, why is there still a hero after the nameless hero sacrificed himself to send Elria and Vors, as a spirit, back in time? shouldn't him sending Elria back in time break the hero vs "demon queen" reincarnation or heroes are still being reincarnated despite the lack of Elria the demon queen and is now just using him as a conqueror of sorts.

lastly, is the present time its own time, is it parallel to the events of this chapter, or is it parallel to the gun hero's time? I mean everything could probably be explained with magic convergence teleportation mumbo jumbo but why now in the present time?

This got real convoluted real fast, and I feel the translation didn't help.

It's basically just the Super Robot Wars plot where Soulgain and co try and jump to the main timeline to escaped their doomed future timeline.

Seems like it's not that complicated and has been heavily foreshadowed anyways. (Although I always found the thru-time phone calls to be the worst part)

My take:
The first Hero Reid didn't have hero powers, but now thanks to the power lineage being non-linear he has inherited the power of several future heroes.

Elria inherited her powers from future herself too.

Then the same hero powers shot both of them 1000 years into the future on Reids death to deal with the new thing for a Hero to save the world from. (Which is a Hero from farther down the doomed timeline...)

That chronology doesn't make sense, but maybe missing parts will help.

Oh, right. Forgor to account the last hero of OG timeline saying they can revert time when they die, so how does time not revert when the last hero of OG timeline dies? (bro said it has been 5 yrs, meaning its been 5yrs since the reincarnation of him (so he technically should be a bebe?))

He could have only inherited the previous Hero’s memories after the previous hero’s defeat 5 years ago, like Elria papa.
Or, he reincarnated further back to the past and only reaches this age 5 years after his previous attempt. Although this option brings the complication about how the Hero had two instance of himself in the same time frame.

As for time reverse... the last Hero probably sacrificed his reincarnation.
He explained the mechanism to Elria, so Elria can use the energy to send herself back to the past. This could mean it’s hijacking the system and so the last Hero’s reincarnation couldn’t happen.

It is a really good flashback past but this type of thing should be revealed near the end and being expanded through multiple chapters. Why are they cramping everything through 1 chapter?

1. Unaltered timeline
   1. 1000 years in past.
      1. Reid is the sage
      2. He may or may not have the powers of a sage. I think he only had the hero powers
   2. “Current“ year
      1. Elria implements Reid’s ideas plus her own.
      2. Vor gives ideas to empire.
      3. Empire abuses them
   3. 1000 years in future.
      1. Elria is named demon queen.
      2. Heros (inspired by the knowledge from the sage) were created to take her down.
      3. Heros have some reincarnation/time travel power.
      4. Hero gives the power to Elria and Vor.
      5. They use it to go back 2000 years to alter time.
   4. Some time after Elria and Vor implement reincarnation magic. future hero goes to altered timeless current year
2. Altered timeline
   1. 1000 years in past.
      1. Vor and Elria get reincarnated.
      2. Vor keeps memories / Elria doesn’t.
      3. Vor goes to young Reid (magic less) asks if he wants to become sage or hero.
         1. Reid chooses hero Vor says keep doing what you’re doing.
            1. this makes me think that the Reid being called the sage. Didn’t actually have magical powers.
            2. He had magic ideas but hero powers.(guessingis for unaltered timeline)
      4. Elria develops magic with a little help from Vor. Most magic is originally her making.
      5. Elria and Reid die around same time. Vor dies sometime after.
   2. “Current” year.
      1. All three get reincarnated with memories.
         1. Reid and Elria have similar bodies.
         2. Vor becomes loli elf with memories of both timelines.
      2. future another hero “time travels“ to alternate timeline current year.
