What is so complicated about the concept of books?
I’ve tried explaining why I like monogatari whilst trying to rein in my autistic love for the series and to try and remain coherent so I can almost understand, I think she’s just not had to express something she likes to someone else before in truth.

I like that hero is straight forward in how he wants to interact with her. Which is really good. A fucking travesty that one of the greatest childhood friend designs is relegated to losing to main girl.

Hime is best girl, but not if this turns her into a yandere. I've got a premonition, here's hoping it stays that way.

So he lied that she had a dog? This will go two ways- either Hime visits and finds there is no dog. OR the preferred way, she gets a dog just to keep up appearances. Then it will be a three-girl harem and a pupper!

I don't think Catholics have much influence in Japan

Yeah, I get that. But it's not even trying to give the other girls a chance. I think it was on chapter one he said something like not being able to feel much of anything or something? And he reacts to his former enemy just like that and coupled with what I assume the usual brand of denseness with how he just casually blurts out to "teach her what love is" despite supposedly having additional experience from his previous life (unless of course previous life didn't have interactions at all, just constant training and stabbing without any need to coordinate with others) paints a character, if even if confessed to, despite all developments with said girl would chalk it up to "nah, couldn't be".

Just a bit of a pet peeve of mine. With how some characters are written right at the start that somewhat sets the pattern to how the story and relationships will likely unfold.
1. He didn't have experience with other girls in previous lives.

2. He is mentally way older than these other girls so most likely he only sees them as children or little sisters.

3. It's obvious he has some feelings for the witch from previous life but he had to kill her because of her curse, not because she was evil per se.

Or
We can turn this into R18 doujin, which both hero and witch can have "handholding" moment in her room.
And, hooray! The curse is gone! And, teen pregnancy, too!

"He doesnt know how i feel" then tell him? is he supposed to read your mind
I would have probably thought the same line, it's exasperating dealing with someone exhibiting A- or even S-rank density tbh. We can already see MC is accustomed to brushing off advances, too; telling him would probably not change one thing. Also, even a tongue kiss didn't grease any wheels. He's a tough nut.
