Okay can we please start talking about the root of the problem? Everyone keeps mentioning and alluding to it. So apparently everyone knows except the readers? Or at least notices it but just wants to keep that to themselves because reasons. I feel like I missed a day of class where the teacher went over something super important and integral to the rest of course, but never bothered catching me up (and neither did any of my classmates). So I’m just lost in the wind as everyone keeps referencing it.
Ignoring that great chapter, but please tell me in the future there’s not going to be any confusion or denial that they both love each other (seemingly romantically). We just spent an entire chapter hunting materials so they can continue to hug each other an a daily basis. That’s not something you really do for anyone other than a lover; maybe a really close family member or friend. I am worried about the overall plot right now. The constant allusion to the “Hunter’s” curse/affliction feels like we’re moving towards the conclusion of an over arching plot that we just got, which normally leads to a rushed ending entirely. A series like this, I expected to be more fluff and episodic with each one just about the different item requests they need to fulfill and materials to get. Then something like having the elf get the ingredients she needs to heal him on the side over time (but it takes a ton of super rare ingredients so not quickly done). This feels like the author was told to end the story soon and threw in an overarching plot element to resolve and make it feel like something happened.
