I know this is a power-woman type of manhua so I’ll just quietly leave my dog blood fantasies here:
FL loves so deeply she uses her body to seduce the officials to protect her and the ML’s child. ML reincarnates w/o knowing her real motivations. (ML doesn’t reveal identity since no one would believe him anyway. FL also doesn’t let pain show because: 1. Enemies will take advantage of it; and 2. The kid will worry when he should focus on growing up) ML starts revenge/abusing FL by gaining her trust then letting her fall into a hellhole. Along the way FL slowly reveals a bit of weakness (with help of the kid(?)). ML first becomes doubtful and later, regretful. FL is mentally and physically tortured to the point of being numb by the time he figures out the big picture and confesses about his reincarnation. FL asks he lets go of her while ML tries to dote on her~ Bad ending: FL dies of illness from accumulated injury and stress? Or happy (bitter sweet) ending: they survive some kind of life-threatening event together, decide to let go of the past, then live hermit lives while leaving kid to be emperor?
