I thought it was weird that there was a "rizz" (page 5) and "charisma" (page 8) skill.

Apparently the "rizz" skill is 「ナンパ」, which is basically hitting on someone (like what playboys might do on the street, the beach, etc). And "charisma" is 「カリス[マ]」(the "ma" part presumably being hidden by the text bubble), so that would just be a 1:1 translation.

I would probably want to change the name of the "rizz" skill, just because of how those two skills might be confused as the same skill. Maybe change it to "pick-up artist" or something like that?

Like I said, I wouldn't have minded rizz too much if there wasn't already another skill called charisma. But this is a situation where they purposefully grouped together a bunch of similar type of skills, so that makes it more important to make the translation reflect the difference in nuance between the various skills imo. At the very least, I'm not able to understand the difference between what a rizz and a charisma skill is and how that would affect the MC.

On the other hand, nanpa is likely a more actively flirty skill that might affect the way the MC interacts with someone they're interested in. While charisma is more likely a more generic passive skill that improves how people perceive the MC.

Then again, maybe other people understand the difference between rizz and charisma just fine and I'm just in the minority of people who can't tell the difference... 😅

I think it's a generational thing.

You "rizz" up a girl, but "charisma" would be " aura" or "aura farming" now.

If the TL wants to use "rizz" for "nanpa" then "aura" should replace "charisma" too, imo anyway.

That being said, I'm an unc and what do I know about slang now.
