Monster in a mmo, that takes heavy notes from alien (they admit that) and potentially the genestealers from 40k (not sure if the author are even aware of them)

Also the prologue is an actual prologue with minimal spoilers of what's to come. It's there to set the scene of the work, not like other Korean chapter 0's that spoil the entirety of the work for short-sided attention.

I'll say it clearly, you don't have to skip the Prologue unless you hate minor spoilers

my current go-to is Tensei Shitara Dragon no Tamago Datta - Ibara no Dragon Road
but i think Virus Tensei kara Hajimaru Isekai Kansen Monogatari also fits the bill
What about the Skeleton-san who couldn't protect the dungeon (and his succ waifu)?

Strong chance this is all style and no substance, but the premise is interesting at least.

Sooo like the majority of shounen manga..? :p Korean manhwa sometimes are refreshing b/c they break away from highly repetitive Japanese manga tropes, but because the Korean industry is also super competitive it's also developed its own related set of overused tropes b/c that's what all the creators see are getting reader views.

But "all style and no substance" is something you have to go into any of these series expecting as a default. Detailed world-building with well-reasoned causal relationships in story elements is a rarity.

The story is too childish for me. Of course the researchers are cartoonishly evil, of course the MC is acting like he was training his whole life for a day he will reincarnate as an Alien.
Too be fair it’s an ultra advanced space faring society that puts profit over all else. Even treating humans lives as not just expendable, but essentially worthless.

It’s also not really surprising that the head researcher is “cartoonishly evil” considering the fragments of their background we have learnt about so far.

Another thing to note is the MC has played the game he isekai’d in numerous times as the xenomorph. It’s established early on that he was the only one to beat the game as that particular alien race and absolutely adores it. It’s no wonder that he is aware of what he’s doing.

I’m sure that we will get a lot more development in later chapters because the game is no longer a “game”, but reality.
