Nothing of valor lost... everything precious gained.

That... is the shadow that haunts Seth in the Sidh, and that seems to empower Piodon... so it is old, maybe even ancient... and it kept Layamon's spyglass... that has to have significance, but we know very little about that shadow for me to say anything of significance, maybe it has a connection to some of the shadow's powers or maybe it was just its first taste of the real world.

Bard's explanation about the dimension is pretty concise... and the fact that the fabulist potion is able to access every possible dimension connected to a relic is impressive and explains how she is able to destroy them.

Last chapter she mentioned Erinle as the one giving her potion, but here she said they are a gift of Daemo... best guess is that whatever the ingredients or recipe are, Daemo is the one that provides, but Erinle is the one making what they can.

Bard's efforts in destroying relics may be the reason why the current Sidh feels to "barren" are first glance, the layer she was entering is probably the most superficial one, with the relics serving as powerful beacons the layers were more easily filled during that time, considering how the fabulist potion works, after she was done with relic there was nothing to focus the subcouncious of people and fill that layer anymore.

Bard mentioning faith kinda convinces me even more that the taumaturges' powers are faith based... man, i am banking a lot of this theory XD.

NameTheFamed, it is just like you said... it is a very nice wrap up of this arc, it feels... interestingly tranquil.

There is underlying tension, things that are still to be answered, Bard's mention of the Lionheart points to a lot of possibilities... but this is it for the sheath of fealty and the princess in the tower.

On to new challenges, and maybe a better future... unfortunately we know there is a lot of pain still to come... Layamon is totally the first seed for the Patrem Inquisitor's legends.

Thanks a lot for the work you all put into this.

I wonder if Layamon becomes some sort of squire for Bard. Even though he's been exposed to the evil behaviours of his uncle and his compatriots, his childlike innocence and morality remains pure and hopefully Bard sees that in him. I can't imagine that happening soon but maybe after a time-skip.

She certainly saw his moral compass.

About him becoming her squire... that can have some interesting "consequences", considering how Bard's legacy turned out to be.

It seems that the Thaumaturges might really borrow their powers from the "remnants" of Bard's eidolon each time they pray to it in combat.

Also what if that shadow was part of the Radiant itself? It could be funny to see it being completely pitch black unlike its name

Hmmm... interesting possibility.

Funnily enough... despite the name of the manga, despite the fact nemesis are the "enemies" of humankind... for quite some time we haven't focused on them really.

They are always there, their presence IS always felt, all the conflicts stem from nemesis presence... but compared to the cruelties done by people, they feel more like... nature.

Even Seth's quest to find the radiant feels something out of mind most of the time, especially after Cyfandir.

Now... the shadow being connected to the nemesis... part of me feels like that makes sense... but another feels like it doesn't.

The shadow is connected to Piodon, which is connected to the whole thing that goes with Seth's family, and now we know it is old, maybe primordial even. By the looks of it, nemesis weren't present during this era... can't even remember if they mentioned when they started to appear.

In my mind... since we got more details about fantasia during the Cyfandir arc, and about the existence of the Sidh... i kinda see nemesis like... not like true enemies of humanity, but a method for nature itself to regulate the flow of fantasia.

What they are, how they interact with fantasia, why they seem made of fantasia, why survivors of touching them get those "infections"... all of these are questions that come to mind.

And a theory comes to mind about the "infections"... when someone resistant touches a nemesis, what shocks them may not be fantasia per se... but that they are connecting to the different layers of the Sidh, to the many possibilities of their own lives, but their bodies and minds cant grasp the information or energy flowing completely... so they get... "remade", and the "infection" is a side effect of a incomplete and brusk remake, like a "bug" into the very existence.
