Its a spicy hot opener for sure. I dunno how I feel, but it does set the tone the frontier is a shithole filled with Bad People.

Trying to remember the other one I read where the protagonist was essentially fully mechanical, only he had a unique design with a cyclops eye.

Oh hey, this new one is by the author of the Space Mercenary and My Power Is Basically Minecraft stories! Hope it does well.
