Jinguuji is super duper smart, and now that they dare to appear before him again, he'll totally knock their teeth in so deep they'll have to fish them outta their ass. Or maybe a brand new love power will be awaken, allowing him to eliminate all enemies but do no harm to his beloved or something.

It would be kinda funny if he's like "oh it's okay, take all the memories u want, I know that I will definitely fall in love with tachibana all over again and again and again and again with or without memories, no probs 👍", giving us a double-spread of blushing tachibana. The power of that blush alone could purify all those pesky fluff balls.

With that being said, I think it'll soon be the ghost bro's turn. Also what's the deal with the creepy mummy 😔 is that someone we're supposed to know????? 😔 is that just Shen fucking around????? I wont put it past Shen tbh 😔

Thanks for the dump. I know missing memories would make for a unique temporary setting for the next arc (like the gender swap for the prison arc), but I’d rather see the forest hero become a companion inhabiting a doll or something. Missing memory arcs hurt, but I have no doubt this manga would use them to full effect.

I can't remember either... but my vague-memory-guess was that they were summoned to be Heroes and defeat the Demon King (or more like kidnapped) by the Godess of Love. They smack-talked her early on-so she turned Tachibana into a girl and hoped they'd fall in love with eachother as punishment.

There's loads of Godesses of different things, and they all have a summoned Hero of their own, each trying to defeat the Demon King. I think the Godess whose heroes defeat the Demon King get... some kind of power-up or something, and their hero(es) get a wish granted - for Tachibana and Jinguji, they wanted to be the ones to defeat DK and have their Godess turn Tachibana back into a guy and return to Earth, that was their initial end goal, but given their feelings and Tachibana becoming cool with being a girl, that's probably changed.

The whole bring back your loved one from the underworld archetype is practically instant kino and using trauma, trust and fear to highlight Jinguuji's iron will for his friend is great seasoning on top. There's no way that it will but I'd rather not relive the trauma of Labyrinth of Refrain here at the end of this arc.
