Is the MC a self insert of the author ?
The scene in the bar where she talks about her best seller feels like the author talking about her work "Runaway with me girl". She was asked to do something new and it works but she has zero experience with love AKA the author who writes about a queer love story but she herself isn't queer. Maybe I'm wrong. Let's say I'm wrong.

Personally, I tried reading others works of the author... Let's say the other work with a queer MC was disappointing or even frustrating. And all the others are your typical josei manga. Women fighting over a man, women crying over a man, some slice of life or cute story and a lot of straight romance.
