I don't get why people are surprised by this portrayal of Izo. His first scene in FGO was him butchering random heroic spirits, and he immediately tried to kill the MC when they met. He's an assassin of the most literal kind.

This is exactly what I expected and wanted him to act like in a manga: an arrogant, cocky bastard with little regard for life.

@NamelessSoldier My theory about why this is working differently from other Fate series is that
Her Grandma is his anchor. In FGO, Ritsuka and everyone who rayshifts needs to have their existence constantly checked and verified since they don't naturally exist in that era. This method with magecraft made by her grandma maybe needs to ensure that "this person will exist in this timeline" to work.

I'm glad that we get to see more of this type of Izo. As much as I loved the Imperial Capital Grail War Event, it just didn't show as much of Izo's capabilities imo. But this? Oh boy, it's everything I wanted and more!
