I guess something about overly friendly relatives but it just seems more so of monsters getting prey or so.I'm not sure this story reflects anything, tbh.
This was made during COVID - so I guess it's about the importance of social distancing? 😅I guess something about overly friendly relatives but it just seems more so of monsters getting prey or so.
That sounds like an interesting premise for a comedy horror manga. She could just keep running into people in town that are kind of terrifying but what they do turns out not to be as bad as it first appears."Oh..sorry honey...no, we're not eating you. You ever eat those popcicles and just suck the taste? Yeah, that's what we do..except the taste is fat. Why we go for the head? We tried from the stomach once and dad accidentally suck out stomach acid."
....if I was the one writing this.
It reflects the anxiety people feel about our modern industrialized food production systems.I'm not sure this story reflects anything, tbh.
Good analysis!The anxiety is 2-fold
- personal space: it’s uncomfortable when people you barely know get so physically close but also all buddy-buddy with you. And it’s hard to speak out when they’re senior to you.
- food: family and in-laws can be overbearing in making you eat and this feels more acute for women. Like why do you want me to eat so much, I’m already full? Why are you making weird comments about my body? What is it to you?? Which then manifests into the horror that the “concern” is monstrous, because why else would this nosy bitch without personal boundaries keep insisting I eat her cooking
