Always imagined Professor Morals was an old dude, as he was quite annoying. Too many stupid figures of speech. I always skipped his->her texts.

That cutesy art-style really, really doesn't fit the story. 😆

And MC is an arse, but I like his style.

They cut out the harem talk at school! (MC actually opposes harem fantasies. One of the very few times he seems to be descend.)

@Solaz: Story spoilers:
He couldn't escape his "companions" as they have been way stronger then him in the first few years and cling to...the mission. And they did favors for him, like "training" him. (Sword King Alex is a bastard!) Or healing him after training. (Healing sucks away exp->levels.) They also worked hard to improve his achievements. ("Of course we could carry on with the mission, but think how fulfilling it is to deliver those love letters first! (Shitty side quest.) You'll also grow on the journey! There is also a famous vacation spot!" Alex: "Vacation? Hero-san should use that time to spare with me some more.") ...You get the idea.
I also fear that he misunderstood most companions, that actually might have meant well in the beginning, but they have been on bad terms after falling out till the end. I believe it have been those 10 years fault, why he turned out a bit evil, psychopa.. strange.
BTW (Bigger Spoiler): Also the strength of the DK scales to the level of the hero, so he could have killed him day one.

From what I gathered in the novel, their idea of 'meaning well' towards the hero is 'Being with the hero, using his status to achieve anything we want, then demand he do other things to make our time better and then force him to do yet more things because we don't want to'

@Robbini: From what I gathered in the novel, this is how he sees them. And he might be right. 😆

Well, it's at very least true for Alex and that elf chick.

And I bet that instructor's gonna ignore all the bs from his companions, unless he manages to be completely rid of them this round.

He could think about this on a more positive view: He has a chance to live life however he likes how many times he wishes (until he gets tired).

You didn't paid much attention to manga in general, do you?
It is always a female, always.

@mahtan I read the novel and they never specified the gender, they were purposefully ambiguous about it.
on both the instructor and the status voice

this is a bit of a spoiler but
he eventually gets another instructor a trainee one and tricks her into revealing her gender

I was talking about manga in general not about this story especifically, in manga it is always a female even when the MC is female. Heck, even Harem mangas where the MC is female there is about as much female as there are male characters in the story while if the MC is male you can be dure there will be 500 females for each male that appears.

But interesting to know that it was different in the LN and now I wonder how that will change the story if at all.

I like the novel more than this they don't even use the illustrations + the characters behave sligthly differnt for example Lanuvel would allways say that she doesn't act cute

The evil in this world is neither demon or human it's god, would be nice if he kills her.

So the MC is a total arse, but I see where he's coming from with the whole anime cliches and annoying allies

So I can't agree with his behavior, but it also sort of justified in a way

I think it'd be justifiable if he was much more upset. A lot of people don't think about the actual implications of being separated from your friends, family, and life. Completely with almost no way back. Normally, you'd miss your family, you'd think about whether you'd ever see them again. Thoughts of the past would plague you constantly, regrets, mistakes, and happy times. But in most Isekai, the transference is not treated as the traumatic event it should actually be.

Let's put it in a modern context, a rich woman (Goddess) orders the kidnapping of a teenage boy (Hero) from another country. He's knocked out and wakes up tens of thousands of miles away from home and given a mission to defeat some evil guy and this boy is forcibly teamed up with a bunch of people who are interested in defeating the evil guy. But think about this, the boy has no actual interest in defeating the evil guy, he just wants to go home. His party members expect him to actually be committed to a fight that he did not choose, being essentially kidnapped and forced into doing something against his will.

So yeah, killing his party members is not that irrational, it may not have been the smartest move, but his anger is justifiable, even if misdirected (he should actually be angry at the goddess)
