@Nerdysylveon make sense since in the light novel it is only in the main character perspective. You didn't get Eddy side of the story until the very last chapter where he recaps his side of the story. The manga is completely doing the events out order that it is ruining the story telling. It to point it show a scene that doesnt take place until Book 2 and it after they get marry and he trying to protect her as his wife not as his fiance.

So ML insults and belittles FL, then blames her for his inability to apologize. He also allows his boss at work to decided whether or not he gets married. This continues for years. He's also upset that she's not bringing up the wedding plans while he's being one-sidedly rude/insulting to her. Also keep in mind the context that he has literally made her unmarriageable to anyone else, so even if she's unhappy it would be difficult for her to break things off. Honestly, getting ML's PoV has just made him look even worse.
