I really did not remember him being from Earth, it's been years since I've read the beginning of the story since I'm currently only 10 chapters behind and wanted to refresh on a lot of things I may have forgotten like the fact the mc is from Earth.

If you think about it, his family, logically, shouldn't anymore want Xiao Yan to marry a really important person. It would equal to making Xiao Yan an even greater public laughing stock, thus affecting the reputation of the whole family, even the clan. But I suppose there are different ways to look at it.

The main pair is clearly the brother/sister pair. It's usually a bad move to pair people who already know each other and probably already like each other. It does not even make it fun to read...

Not really incest, it's just a way to call someone you're close to. Not actually her brother.
