Regardless of whether it’s MTL or not, surely typesetting and quality checking needs an overhaul. I’m glad someone else is working on the series in order to keep it alive, but I hope they can improve quality at least on par with the aniwaves guys!

This is a free, community ran site with no ads, if you don't like the translations go elsewhere or hire/attract more experienced translation groups. Every fucking comment you have ever posted here is negative, maybe this isn't the place for you? The guy did his best (even if kinda lazy with the 90 degree text) and it's better than waiting for months on end for a group to pick this up, eventually forgetting the manga exists.

The sister's name should be "Maimi" if you read/translate the furigana. While "海" is read as "umi", in the usage of her name the "u" is dropped. I don't know why that's the case as I only know basic Japanese grammar.

It's either your best or lazy, it can never be both.

And I agree this release needs a lot of work. Even if we disregard the machine translation, 90 degrees text hampers readability (this shouldn't need to be explained), and the flow of the text is rather hacky. (Look at the bit where they use "too" four times within as many panels.)

Interestingly, the bit at the end shows the sister's name is to be read as「まいみ」, which is "Ma I Mi", not "Maiumi". The「う」is clearly missing from the guide text.

So...Maimi. That sounds off, but a cursory google search does show a few hits. Would be nice if someone more versed in Japanese names could weigh in on that.
