Why wouldn’t he at least glance at the drawing? It makes no sense to me. There’s no reason to at least take a glance especially if he felt that the person in front of him was different.

This feels irrational and forced I can’t think of a good reason why he would tell him to draw then soon after felt a strange energy and think “I just won’t look at this for even a millisecond.”
