Every time people use the "too much" argument when they really just mean "it's not my type" and are expecting another equally popular genre, I want to roll my eyes.

1. I guess that dude is her father in his human form. Dragons are not supposed to be friendly towards each other every single time. In a one-shot he never met his daughter until the moment she visited him. Also a human form, a very common form, would be a logical answer to how did MC's mother do what she did.
2. I still hope for Ruri's dragon form awakening, some series like Goblin God or Dragon Prince (not the animated series one) feature half-dragons having dragon forms.
