I do like that it's fairly telegraphed so as not to lead readers on with the fear that Mahiru is going to interfere with Yuuki & Asaka.
One thing this series has done well already is the realism of lifelong friends falling into romantic love--they already gel with, and get, one another--and Yuuki is pretty level-headed in sussing out what's going on in most cases.

Makes reading this a joy, because even the points of conflict mix in plenty of cute moments, and they get resolved in a manner consistent with people who've known and cared about one another for sixteen years.

Plus, all the objective sweetness between them doesn't hurt.
