@Madotsuki : I think you are just imagining it, this girl took everything and blew it out of proportion. Should she been abused she would be far more aggressive (not just "I kick you and let you go"). At the very worse, his brother is a creepy siscon.
But seeing how dumb she is his brother is a normal guy that happened to said one normal sentence one day which was taken out of context and made her a tomboy. And she read a manga/saw something on TV one day and made her obsessed by siscon.

Sure the ending was very underwhelming, sort of like Brynhildr in the Darkness, but the story itself was good. I would've stuck if it kept going with the vampire blood busting girl and the crud that happens if this was ongoing. But all good things come to an end. I loved how a Chapter 0 still relates with the rest of the story as it shows how far back their relationship gone.

Good series, that got better as it went, but introduced an annoying new character near the end (who thankfully didn't show up much after being intro'd) and then some plot development that happened right before it ended. In a more longer lived and organic series, the stuff saved for the end would've and should've been done in the middle, and the story would've kept progressing with new dynamics in relationships going forward, but it didn't happen that way in this one.

Basically, not every series can be Working!!, but this one was still enjoyable for the time I spent reading it to the end.

You know, series really didn't end how I was wanting it to go but it was pretty great overall. I will say though, that same character @arcsalvo mentioned was my massive issue with those last sections, annoying ass of a char.

Read it a while ago, but when I was browsing I was thinking about rereading it in one go now that its complete and possible to read 'uninterrupted' now.

Anyway, just curious as I caught this in the description - "... the truth is much stranger than people believe. He actually doesn't have a crush on his sister-- in fact, he likes Hibino, the only girl in class who isn't afraid of him."
I would think the 'stranger part' mentioned is probably about the vamp/'supernatural' stuff, but am I the only one that could see this being... misleading wording? Like, had I not know about the story already, it seems to be saying that the 'stranger truth' may be that he has a crush on his classmate instead of his sister.

Doesn't matter much, easily 'fixed' with even just like a line break (maybe I'm seeing it this way as the line break falls there naturally making it look like there may be less space between them) or including 'And,' or whatever, but I just wanted to see if I was the only one to read it that way, as it currently is.

This story has a lot of wasted potential sadly But can't blame the Author for having multiple works to do. Might be busy, who knows?

Some history on the serialization of this manga. This manga started back at August 2013 at Monthly Shonen Sunday Sep 2013 issue as Yamamoto sensei first serialized manga. If you don't know about it, Yamamoto sensei actually have Takagi-san serialized at that time period as well, but in bi-monthly release at the sister booklet of Monthly Shonen Sunday, Mini Gessan. As time passes, Takagi-san becoming more popular even though the series is bi-monthly release. As the result, he ended Kyoko-chan at June 2016 and then begin to serialized Takagi-san at Monthly Shonen Sunday starting from July 2016 with the first chapter being "Memories". And the rest is history.

I still don't know what the problem is with what happens in this manga per se. Kyoko's arc is completely comprehensible to any non-troglodytes: her condition isolates her at school and in her private life, and though she makes a good friend during the series, she's jealous that her brother can love so easily and be free.

do I think the series ended prematurely? yes, but because we didn't get to see her grow (up) and change more. it would have been good to see Kyoko develop more as a person than the very specific ways she acknowledged herself over only 37 chapters.

I thought it was fine ending right there
