I have a high hope for this story...

At first, reading the title I thought the protagonist will try to explore his job and find a new way to use it. But now they give him some op eye, it's just like "Hey your job is useless, but here's some godly eye. If you use it you will be strong". Now imagine if the appraisal the most useless job become op because an artificial body parts. What will happen if some higher jobs also got an artificial body parts, the potential of that person become stronger than the protagonist is higher.

At least it's explained why he got his power: he's not the only one who fell and got saved by her, but he's the first one who didn't try to take advantage from Yggdrasil and even thanked her for the save. It's chlildlike mentality and naive, but seeing how Yggdrasil is sheltered and has basically no one to communicate, except her "mom", I can see how she would be easily captivated by that.

I mean think about it: you're stuck alone in a place for years, centuries and then after helping and meeting some jerks here and there, you finally find a decent person to talk, I'm sure anyone would be eager to at least bond with this person for a while.

Not really an appraisal skill as more of a status screen. Unless this is like level 1 appraisal. He can't see stats like level, health, or skills. He does have a thick plot armor as thick as a tree spirit's chest. Of course tsundere mom has to be a young child loli with a flat chest since not love interest. Japan has an unhealthy obsession with massive tits on women. And they have to be mindless, spineless, love drunk housewife types. Good women characters are so rare in this genre.
