problem is... both were pretty much looking for a place to die, as it felt like she knew she wasn't strong enough for him, but was satisfied to take him with her... while the shota was more erratic, he deserved more despair in death as he got defeated by a weaker opponent (on his eyes).

also, who helped the boy? because it wouldn't make sense if the assasin maid would have helped him.

The panel on page 21 where they zoom in on the knife of the assassin definitely seems to me it's indicating she's the one that helped him, because of the dagger that killed Gain being the same. Why she would though, who knows.

But also did I miss something, or what's the actual indication this is the assassin maid from the start of the series? If it was her, I could definitely just see her having multiple motives (and not wanting him to die in this situation), but idk which part here's supposed to indicate this shadowy robed figure is her. I could just be forgetting something though, since it's been a while.
