How can they tell the face looks young like that? Well, manga style doesn't do those visuals much of a favour...

So if you can heal life force, it's not a permanent loss.

Reacted on the thief part.

People are rather overly concerned in a modern way. Well, that's how it is in these mangas.

Immediately dismissed she was just attacked because she likes his appearance. Doesn't seem like she'll be too much of a problem.

Those shorts are rather modest for a succubus.

If she's not his type, I wonder what is.

"Are you into some kinky bondage play?"
No, but you will be in bondage soon.

Should've gagged her. She might've enjoyed it, for better or worse.

Wow, that was easy.
And she meant succubus when she said succubus, you doof. "An apple... you mean an 'orange'!?"

How can they tell the face looks young like that? -snip-
Easy: Every male in manga sprouts perma-stubble on his 27th birthday.

Pretty sure Japanese has a dedicated word for an incubus-type monster, and I'm guessing it's male only, so it translates to Incubus when he heard Succubus. I mean, even the Christian Devil is classed as an Incubus in parts of the bible, and you'd assume he's more well known for other things, so this bit of dialogue makes sense, more of an 'apple...you mean a Washington Delicious?' rather than apples and oranges.

So, thanks to this comment, I looked into it, and you're more or less correct, but I'd say it's more accurate that the exchange is analogous to "ringo... you mean an apple?!" What he says in the raw is "サキュバス・・・淫魔?!" which the internet tells me is "Sakyubasu... Inma?!" or the loanword "succubus" and then the native Japanese word/concept for "incubus, succubus, dream demon," with kanji for "lewd" and "witch/demon/evil spirit." I think your example might have been a better TL approach, e.g. "Succubus... a demon?!"

Now I know. Thanks.

if those are random towns people and not adventurers, hope he just ties them up and ignore the interruption. but i doubt the author will go that route :haa:

RE: Succubus/Incubus, I remember being told somewhere that they used to be considered the same thing - as in, succubus goes and gathers male seed, corrupts it, shifts into incubus, and impregnates a woman with the corrupted seed.
