exactly!! but some are just dead set on hating her without putting two and two together and calling it redemption bait, sigh:worry:
Plenty of people grow up in misery, but somehow not all turn into monsters. As someone said, unless it was some form of mind control, Victoria is ultimately to blame for her choices. I won't give her a pass just because she had a sad past.

The real question is how long we'll be in the flash back dimension for
I don't particularly mind Victoria being given a chance to redeem herself, but I hope the author handles it well, you need more than a sad back story and punishment to be put on the path of atonement after all

Oh boo whoo. So she had a tragic backstory. That doesnt earn her forgiveness. I had a fucked-up childhood Stemming from generational abuse and did bad things out of pain and anger. Yet it didnt earn me forgiveness, nor my abusive parents forgiveness from what they went through and it shouldnt. Ones persons pain and anguish doesnt somehow negates their bad deeds and the pain and misery they spread to others.
Did you also spend many, many months in a constant state of being eaten alive both inside and out?

I'm not saying what she did is ok, but its not like she has gotten off with a slap on the wrist.

It's quite sad to see this little and innocent Victoria was corrupted to the point of being the Victoria we know.
IMO, this flashback may show us how not much different Victoria is to Theodora but Victoria making choice that Theodora didn't have the time to take yet (and humans getting the focus of gods). And my guess is that Raoul is also watching this flashback and it will give him a way to solve the problem against the abdundance goddess.

but when Raoul eventually forgives her, what will become of victoria
join the revenge quest?
stay at home wife?
have her govern hell? ( since she's already a demi god)
or have her rebuild the kingdom alongside him and theodora
i'm curious
Eu acho que ela ta tão traumatizada que se não for uma ordem direta do Raoul ela não vai fazer nada!!
Creio eu que ela vai preferir ficar quieta no quarto dela sem fazer nada com medo de deixar o Raoul bravo!!

It's sad flashback Victoria's mother, who was mistreated by Queen Karis and also raped by the king. In fact, even his death could be described as sad :meguuusad: but i still hate Victoria

She's already been suffering for her choices, hasn't she? It's not like Raoul captured her and stuck her in stasis this whole time to await some future punishment, she was being eaten inside out by insects while alive and aware. A lot of the punishments the folks down in hell (which we actually got to see) were getting seemed light compared to that.

There's also some strong hints that she's been mentally influenced by the gods. I'm not going to say I expect her to be forgiven, but if the author is really going with this redemption angle I don't see a problem with it. One thing we haven't seen is after Raoul extracts what he feels is due from the perpetrators that deserve 'revenge', is there a point when he sees the scales balanced? I think that would be interesting.

It's the Japanese: "People are only bad if something bad happens to them." idea.
It's almost like you ignored over 100 chapters of every other villain in this series choosing to be 'bad' without anything bad happening to them in order to push some narrative about Japanese and this author based on this one arc that hasn't even finished yet.

Yeah but just saying "Oh she was possessed, and look she was treated horribly aswell!" way after it happened isnt gonna make people lose the disgust they garnered for her for many many chapters.
