Victoria killing innocent people like having Raouls entire village murdered, tortured, raped is not the same as Theodora killing a sick child murdering rapist. You can both feel bad for someone for having horrible shit being done to them when they were innocent, and still hate them for what they themselves did later.

Nothing can really absolve her from what she did, but you can still be sad that it turned out that way largely because of external factors. She became a bad person that did bad things, and it's sad that happened when it didn't have to.
