I’m very confused… father and mother?? How does that work?
They're divine beings, don't think too much about it

Wait if the two ghosts were protecting her in that mansion. Then what happens if she leaves it? Was there a reason for the gods to convince her to go out?
We see both her mom and ancestial grandmother shield and swat the hand of a god to protect her.
They helped her heal, too. Explains how she keeps coming back after each assassination attempt.

This moment will either be Victoria’s road to redemption or eternal damning. Whatever the decision, Raoul is determined she sees this through. But to what end?
Next queen of hell, maybe? Raoul is too busy to sit around and punish people he has no direct qualms with, but Vicky has seen what people can be like for no reason other than "everyone else was doing it, too".

God of war : feel the hate in you, accept the hate
Vicky : no! that’s bad!

Goddess of love : feel the horny in you, accept the horny
Vicky : yes! yes! yes!

iirc she never actually saw the horny bitch, she got the direct mental influence from the saintess. It's easy to mistake those as your actual decision when it didn't come from a figure asking, but just "you" not thinking anything against doing it.

From what I am understood they are the ghost of her mother Valentine (white dress) and Rosalind the tragic mistress, the one the mansion was built for (black dress), and probably the reasons why Victoria narrowly escaped every single assassination attempt in this house that was targeting her.

Unrelated to the subject of deserving redemption or not, anyone else think it's weird that the knight in the tournament has the same name as Vicky's mother? In another series, it could be coincidence, but this one leaves me being suspicious of everybody until they prove otherwise.

holy propagandism, the same guy posts like 7 times in a row "LOOK GUYS SHE'S GOOD" no she is not, she had a heart at a time and still did horrible things, being poisoned at a young age does not give you a free pass to poison people when you grow up
Sybau we winning this ship 🤣

I mean literally every mythology apart from Islam and christianity is "and then one of the gods were bored" so it kinda tracks? :D
Raul is immitating the god of war who is absent in the current time just like his/her daughter so i can see a subplot coming
Tbh, even if taken from real world events, a boring conclusion is still boring..

I mean, the current U.S gov is such a walking parody, I'd scuff at a story that'd have such explicit display of corruption, greed, and oversight incompetence.

Hmmm... I'm getting the impression that this arc is not a redemption arc, but more of an explanatory arc about how much the Gods of this world actually toy with and corrupt people, entirely for their own entertainment.

An arc to point to when the story turns back to Raoul and people eventually start wondering if his Revenge Campaign isn't getting a ...tad excessive...
And don't forget Raoul, as God of Hell, with the ability to view Souls, already knows all we're seeing in this arc...

There's ( as usual ) more going on here than is immediately apparent...
Not to lessen your very accurate synopsis, but you forgot about the womb-destruction (non-lewd) part of the punishment where Vicky can no longer make li'l Vickys/li'l Raouls.

Didn't forget... But that's merely part of her Punishment.
The Confucian/Shinto myffology is heavy on the Redemption through Punishment in the Afterlife.. With the punishment having to befit the sin.. There's a manganime or two about that, in a humorous sense even...
( found it: Hoozuki no Reitetsu )

What we're getting shown here is also seen by Raoul's "Hell's Angels" ( they're actually the cause of this arc, if I'm not mistaken...).
I feel this is actually for their benefit/development, and that we're simply along for the ride, getting shown what they see...

Now how they will react to it..... Interesting Times....

Nothing works on me, hang her back up! Just reread the chapter where MC and his family suffered guys. Her suffering does not excused anything. Let bugs and shit do her again.

Is it part of her punishment in Hell or now that the god's control over her is broken, she's contemplating her life after finally getting what she wanted. Raoul married her, even if it was just to continue torturing her and get her to Hell without killing her.
