Author fully intends to redeem Victoria huh? Oh well, let's see what happens. At least this series is interesting enough to warrant such following.
The idea I think is that it's just another case of the gods and goddesses being evil scum. Victoria wanted to help him and save him but was tricked and then possessed or put into some sort of a haze by the goddess then the story came to be.
I can imagine if Raol finds out about this he would just switch targets to this goddess, no idea if his feelings for victoria would change.

As said before, there is no redemption. You can't redeem a character who got straight up possessed. She was quite literally was not herself the entire time. However a clarification is needed for the parts where Raoul tortured her and if the possession is still in affect or not after he rezz'ed her.

basically raoul took revenge on someone that isn't deserving of it, you may say this was an asspull but I think it's good to see how raoul faces this challenge on his virtue, is he actually still doing revenge for justice or is he just another maniac like the gods

They are going to redeem Victoria by making it look that most of the things she did were made by goddesses, huh...

I’m taking it from a different angle.

This god’s deal is, “You and I will become one in body and soul. From then on, my influence will remain with you throughout life”
This means during her crazy phase, the god and Vicky are one and the same, and there’s no more separating them. Might as well consider them as a single individual already. Raoul has to punish them as one.
And if the god couldn’t do anything when Vicky got manipulated, she probably also can’t control Vicky like a puppet either. Her twisted personality is still herself with the other gods giving a push.

So, rather than trying to forgive Vicky by appealing about “she’s innocent, just controlled by gods” to erase her past crimes
I think this new development instead opens the option for redemption through her helping Raoul in the future.
We still didn’t know in what shape the deal take shape, nor what kind of god this is.

Pffff, they're just completely twisting the story just to make Victoria “clean” and go back to a classic storyline where the hero is a real hero :pout:

This sucks I want it to be dirty ! :hearts:

I agree when we found out that the Saintess was being manipulated and deceived by the goddess of love, somehow she didn't got a tragic flashback of the goddess absolving her of responsibility

This is essentially the same thing, but he is bending backwards to make Victoria a kid who is not an agent
I would agree with you except for the fact that the saint was tricked with words while this situation here is literally described as them becoming “one in body and soul”. Victoria won’t be manipulated after this. She technically won’t even be Victoria. So the little girl we’ve seen these last few chapters is actually an entirely different person from the Victoria we’ve known

plus iirc wasn’t the Victoria weve known also controlled and manipulated by the saintess?

No, there's a substantial difference. In previous cases (e.g. Saintess, she was encouraged in a direction), but she still fully retained her own faculty of choice; vs this case in which Victoria's faculty of choice is half-way taken away from her.

Note: When Raoul was raped by Victoria in prison, that was the goddess possessing her, and the fault lies with the goddess. Raoul doesn't blame Victoria for that; he blames Victoria for all the other things that Victoria did. (Though we now know those other things were done by GOW VIctoria, not True Victoria.)

Note that earlier True VIcky refused the temptations from GoW when the benefit would only be to herself. And now she is only (apparently) willing to do it solely to save Raoul's life -- and knowing that it will be at a substantial cost to herself -- a completely selfless action.

Okay, depending on her upcoming actions, I might forgive Vicky...

BUT STILL SHIPPING LEODORA/THEODEON !!!

now the question is, why did the gods come after her right from a young age? whats their end goal in possessing her body? the plot thickens :pepehmm:

You know, reading your comment makes me wonder...

What if there are actually some god(s) working behind even their fellow deities back to change things ?

What if they needed Victoria alive and they knew that by making her put Raoul through Hell, he would keep her "safe" ?

As you said, the Plot Thickens and I'm more than ever eager to see what's coming !!
