I don't think this black and white type of thinking will work well in the long run. As humans are not perfect and no one knows Raoul's standards for an "untainted soul" which is ridiculous. At least put up some commandments or something. You'll just have people living without living. They're just "existing". Thanks for the chapter!!!
Dude was like the strawman you conjure up to make your ideological opponents look silly, complete with the wacky inflatable balloon man arm gestures and dancing around lol
He probably got judged before his wife so it was pure, but the moment he heard the truth it became tainted. Raoul likely already knew this, but chose not to reevaluate him for the sake of his kids (and probably because he knew it'd get worse and he'd get to have some fun with him)
If so he wouldn't have met the multiple week trials; as the fat noble lady said, once a week they're purity tested. This isn't something that just happened, by the way she spoke about it, but something that has been happening for awhile.
Alex is there because Raul gave him a chance.
IT's fine for the kids to gave up of their father...what kind of parent dragged their child to suffer with them needlessly ?
It’s like I’m watching a Black single mother with 5 children with different baby daddies going to court to ask for child support but declined by the judge then having a meltdown 😂
What Raoul doing is kinda hypocrite, human nature is bound to corrupted at some point but a person with a good nature wouldn't act upon their bad thoughts or become tainted unless they're pushed to the edge to save themselve.
