This is fine, I think the other group TL sounds more like natural spoken english for an adaptation, but for the amount of dialogue there is I'm not judging too much, it's like criticizing an AV for the story at this point. SFX and redraws are fine too, pretty good even, I'm usually not even noticing those as in my eyes they're more like contextual panel decoration, I'm not really reading them, so I made an effort to look after reading your end page, I guess the literal TL for those is a bit weird tho, I think "boing", "slide" and "shiver" are more meaningful, but the size and style of those being perfectly accurate almost matters more than their meaning imo.
One stupid thing I've noticed recently is that trend of groups doing english TL and having the most broken, unreadable, barely making sense english end page rant, so I'm grateful for yours being actual english lol.

The SFX look really good. Full replacement has both advantages and disadvantages. It looks cleaner to not have both, but it also restricts to the reading choice made by the translator, in cases of ambiguous ones. I do favor the full replacement, though. But then, translating them to common English sound words is better than direct Katakana transcriptions.

I'd vouch for picking up https://mangadex.org/title/9d445ace-fa12-4345-aba9-11d8fbacfb9a/gorgon-oyako-no-danran, which hadn't seen an update in 9 months, and seems to be dropped by the original group

For manga recommendations…hmm…i got a ton. Here’s some:

• https://mangadex.org/title/c7a10d9f...e-ni-doryoku-shitetara-oozoku-harem-ga-dekite hasn’t seen a new ch since last year
• https://mangadex.org/title/a782eb42...slave-merchant-harem-what-is-that-is-it-tasty was last picked by Silas, who who only does commissions, so it hasn’t seen a regular, uncommissioned release in years (comicdom is a commission bandit)
• https://mangadex.org/title/e5b86815...u-nintei-sareta-node-maid-harem-o-tsukurimasu could be picked.
• https://mangadex.org/title/71c10c5d.../a-playthrough-of-a-certain-dude-s-vrmmo-life is tricky. The last few chs were commissioned to Silas, so that’s not gonna get updated anytime soon. Furthermore, chs done by MadWabbit (several volumes of it) are of very low quality, so they need HQs.
• Bofuri is free since MadWabbit disappeared 2 yrs ago.
• Only Sense Online (OSO) got dropped 10 months ago since Perverest vanished. Also, it has LQ MadRabbit chs

As far as the translation sounding less natural, it's possible I leaned too much into retaining the Japanese meaning at the expense of fluidity/smoothness. Always a hard balance to strike.

I was originally going to do fully translated sound effects (boing, etc), but I there were a few where I just couldn't figure out what it was actually supposed to mean and I wanted to keep a consistent format across all of them. I'll try for better translations on these in the future, or maybe having a small English translation above the Japanese SFX depending on how it's styled. We'll see.

I'm probably going to avoid anything too dialogue heavy for now, but I will certainly keep that one in mind!

Don't worry about the 'sniping', I was also doing this out of hobby as the previous group also dropped it and nearly by obligation at this point. I'd be perfectly happy if you are willing to take up this series as well, just let me know .

Main reason I didn't have activity for 4 months was because the author had no new releases for the first 3 months and now suddenly doing weekly releases as opposed to a release per 2 weeks. Admittedly, I also got a bit lazy coming back lol.

I'm not sure if they are higher quality than what RK has though, but its the best you can get outside of the Volume itself being released.

Oh that's a handy trick. I was looking at that site before, but couldn't figure out how to download the pages.

As far as quality, it looks like the official raw is the same 836x1200 pixels as the newer RK chapters, but I'll check out some of the panels side by side to see if they have less compression and use whatever looks better.
