Though I hate a top person do everything without thinking, I also hate a person that twists everything that other do.

Thanks for the chapter!

Maybe in the "He didn't let me persevere", meant that Ash didn't let Arthur be alone with his feelings and let Arthur endure as he was before? Is still probably an odd way of saying it.

Hygiene and food started and tested now to continue testing and to tackle construction to fix that wall that is almost destroyed hopefully since that was teased.

Thanks for continuing to work on this!

If didn't know any better, Ash+Arthur would've almost been like BL material.
But yeah, Arthur really had a sucky life before coming to Sacula. The world of nobles really is a dimension more terrifying than simple modern politics.

Tbf on the translator page potatoes are one or is the easiest food to grow it can grow in not the best soil condition and during the cold
Yeah but I'm saying people ate other foods at the time, like cereals and legumes and root vegetables
it's just odd that a lot of medieval/fantasy manga gravitate towards potatoes like they've already found a fantasy South America

My feeling was that the author wanted to emphasize the earlier use of 'endure' as in
Arthur didn't need to persevere around Ash but it's not exactly a natural expression in English

I'm not feeling engaged by the current arc. It feels more like a summary of a story rather than the story itself. The art helps it a lot, but at the end of the day the stakes feel low and the characters a bit flat. 🤷

If we talked about rice, sure, that's a japanese fetish. But potatoes helped feed a lot of people in medieval europe ever since they got brought here.

Also japanese people don't have the specific climate that requires cereals, which is dry without flash storms.
That's why countries in southern europe went for cereals, wine and olives, as those grow the best with moderate water and can handle dry, hot weather and even some droughts.

Potatoes for them are the closest thing to european cultivation.

I mean anachronistic as in there shouldn't be any in their time, like if they were eating actual box cereal from today (they weren't medieval Europeans because that era ended by the time they started eating them)
if the story intends to be realistic w/ infant mortality, lack of technology etc. they shouldn't have the means of circumnavigating the globe to find potatoes/tomatoes on another continent

I felt the same way skimming through the light novel, like it's a diary of the perspective character and events just occur as they happen; The Rising of the Shield Hero web novel was the same way but its manga managed to be more engaging, hopefully more action changes things up

I'ts notanachronistic, the middle ages ended in the 15th century, potatoes were actually discovered and brought to Europe before the middle ages ended. Also you're the one assuming all these mangas with fantasy universes.... live in the middle ages? They just look medieval, but nowhere it states that they live in the middle ages.

if the story intends to be realistic w/ infant mortality, lack of technology etc. they shouldn't have the means of circumnavigating the globe to find potatoes/tomatoes on another continent

That's a pretty stupid comparison. Infant mortality and lack of technology happened even 2 centuries ago, in the 1800s. Why are you assuming they didn't have the means of traveling through the oceans? Btw, going to America doesn't require circumnavigation. The literal word means "navigating the whole circunference".

But worse of all, why are you assuming that in a fantasy manga people need to get potatoes from other continents instead of... you know, being an actual crop?

All of your points are stupid when you realize this is NOT a historical manga.
