why are the chapters so short?

I'm liking this so far but like some peeps have said, the current chaps are way too short, especially compared to the first which was 40; the chapters have been literally decreasing in size from 40-18-17- to now just 10/11.

well the plot is insanely slow till chapter 21, feelings were kinda forced, people were randomly killed off i mean they couldve been killed in a more gruesome way😤. sometimes i cant even understand what happening cuz of the art, fmc is kinda meh (bland and no real personality at least till now). mc is slowing changing and you can see development in his character (but thats kinda cliche too). 7/10 for me
