Shunpei knows the score. I do like how there is a pause between them when Shunpei acknowledges there's times it's not fun at all. Like they're both thinking of what is going on between them. The fact she's going to nap next to him like that is so sweet, too!

I don't think that's what's going on, An herself doesn't seem to think she's in love with him, so when he said that she was probably thinking something more like "wait, for real? Shunpei? huh... guess it's normal"

Edit: Which actually also feeds in on his "it's not always" fun statement, particularly since what she said earlier pretty much confirmed to Shunpei that An has no such feelings.

Shunpei's reaction there was so painful. It really highlights how serious he is taking his relationship with An and how painful unrequieted love can be. Luluca just has a passing crush allowing her to be completely free and open about her feelings.

I love this series for slow but detailed explanation of how young person learns about love and relationships without going into lewd stuff. It’s honestly very reassuring and somehow reminds me of my past and how I found about love and attraction.
I'm honestly surprised for how many of us are worried the teacher will say yes. it’s not that kind of series. However if that somehow happens, it would be the biggest betrayal since Usagi Drop.
