realistically if this happens and youre not careful enough walking on eggshells all that years being together could just crumble by a day, esp her question if she didnt thought of her specifically, the question alone is already an indication.

but well its sakurako doubt she'll leave her, but it could be nice if we see Sakurako actually getting frustrated and wanting to test her by leaving and making her realize her feelings. but thats just me, this series is way too wholesome and cute for that.

I think the issue lies on how they entered to the relationship. This is the first time both of them have had a deep and intimate relationship. Sakurako was more aware of it, so she pretty quickly realized what the relationship meant for her. Kasumi, on the other hand, has always gone with the flow, so to speak, so for her it just felt that she and Sakurako were specially compatible. As Kasumi said there is no doubt that she loves Sakurako, but she has never felt the need to question in which way she loved her.

Sakurako also shot herself on the foot by telling, all those years back, to Kasumi that she didn't really know what label put to their relationship. That conversation was the perfect place to push the issue, even if Kasumi went immediately "who cares about labels?"

That makes more sense. at this point i guess Sakurako just wanted to hear those words theyre official or dating(some kind of assurance ig(?) and relating to moka about relationship label). I myself personally wouldnt mind hearing those if actions and longevity already proved it.

There's tons of things ive already forgotten about this series so ive been just basing on the recent ones that got power uploaded last month.

and being to live in together with a model-like im sure Sakurako gets anxious too so i guess thats that shes longing for assurance or at least some peace of mind(given at their age where people get anxious if they'll end up alone) even though Kasumi is already set in her mind to live with her for a lifetime.

Yukiko has been really mean with us. She only depicts "daily life" in the 4koma chapters and leaves all the heavy stuff for the "extras." This manga started almost 10 years ago, it is normal to just forget stuff, specially when most of it is practically just "fluff."

That's one of the reasons why when a manga I'm reading has a big update after a while I tend to go back and read the whole thing so context isn't lost.

i agree, just realized that this series i salmost a decade old. and i tend to read lots for a day so i forget most of the series i read for a long time.

but, still glad author san does just wholesome and daily life of a couple than springing unnecessary dramas or stupid ones.

8 yrs... all Sakurako had to do was just ask to finally make Kasumi think about it. Tho, it really feels like the author wants to sell the "we're fine as is so whatever" at least until the very end. It might dont show much but is clear Sakurako has always been anxious about heir relationship.
Meanwhile, is so convenient as is that Kasumi has never given much thought, mostly knowing Sakurako would never leave her as she said herself. In a sense, always being together kind of mixed all together. They already live partially as a couple so i guess it would be hard for Kasumi to perceive the difference as is. While Sakurako has always been scared of the change Kasumi is just too comfortable to worry about it. But it feels unfair, while one has always been anxious dep inside and the other is just enjoying all the perks.
