So like are we just gonna ignore the fact that he caught his own co-worker with her? Like remember he doesn't know that he's a relative. I mean it's a funny chapter to see the wife being dumb but shouldn't he have been questioning her as well who that was that and who she was with?
But why would he question who Aikawa is when he's HIS coworker, it would make more sense to ask her WHY he's with her not WHO he is

It's still stupid as hell on their part to keep their family relations a secret from him

I just wish there was a better way to handle him just not saying he got himself a personal trainer after his daughter said he was fat. The conflict just feels so forced when he had such an easy excuse to use in order to stall for time. It’s not the worst thing ever but it does bug me. Otherwise? Pretty fun character
Yep, that's why he's also retarded and not just Kaoru

All he literally has to tell her is "I started going to the gym because of what Sana said, she's my trainer" and that's it, nothing else needs to be said

Both of them have a huge problem with overthinking shit

Unwittingly roping the "accomplice" into her amateur hour sleuthing of her husband's mysterious second life should go wonderfully.

I hope we get a bit more insight into their marriage from her perspective. We know that he thinks of himself as this hopeless nobody for whom all marital intimacy is long dead. We see her low-grade abuse him in the earlier chapters and disparage him as a man and marital partner, but after that point....nothing, and her actual demeanor seems to have shifted away from that entirely.

It feels like her initial portrayal was meant to set up a "see? The husband has a reason to 'step out' on her because she's mean and is withholding sex" type of excuse, but then that line sorta appears to be abandoned - and the wife's no longer really acting that way, and even seems to (in this chapter, at least visually) think back on their marriage and life as relatively positive and pleasant.

Feels like a bit of a mismatching of tone, but I don't want to be hasty and call it a screw-up on the part of the author, or anything - so I look forward to getting more information, and hopefully more context as to how they both really feel about one another and the state of their marriage.
Unreliable Narrator, he has low self steem, maybe this was in fact a single interaction.
Sure, their marriage had issues, but there is more to be seen here.
That's why I doubt this manga will end with cheating

Oh my god, yes... I thought I was taking crazy pills on how this huge plot point seems to be eluding everyone. Not asking, not even thinking about it, not even "but why were you there with my junior?" I mean, even the wife would feel compelled to say something about it. But nothing, nada, rien, niente... just crickets Like I wrote in the series topic, either the mangaka forgot and is super incompetent, or he's saving this plot point for later and just incompetent.

Specially under these circumstances. We're in retarded territory if the wife thinks "I won't mention Aikawa if he doesn't to keep him being my cousin a secret" or he thinks "she is meeting my co-worker in a restaurant but I feel so guilty that I won't even ask anything about it." Idiot Plot usage should be a criminal offense.
