This just goes to show you how this is much more than a comedy ecchi series. I am seriously impressed by this progression and character development.

this mangaka has some incredible range. making an arc that's legitimately emotionally evocative is hard in general, but making one after most of the prior story being about girls getting licked by monsters is even more impressive. i guess this wasn't the first time something like this happened in the story (specifically the girl and her dead brother), but this one hit much harder. all in all, a fantastic chapter
