Kikuru is an odd one; Hanabata is basically all his if only he'd ask her. But I suppose he now has a persistent trust issue thanks to the guild lady (Enome)...
Heck, if we're talking about social status and outlook, Mishelly and Kikuru would click very well. As in they are both currently Zero Achievements, Zero Relationships, Zero presence, and Zero popularity - except Mishelly is only so because she wears a mask. IIRC Mishelly isn't an "ace" but that's because she's a solo guard in the middle of nowhere (chapter 21). But given how serious she takes her work, I'd imagine she actually isn't that incompetent as a guard. Mishelly kind of reminds me of Yunyun from konosuba, except she is a fighter/tank/warrior instead of a wizard.
Mishelly probably up there in terms of physical attraction (chapter 41), but yeah, she doesn't get enough screen time to even get into the competition... unless Kikuru seeks her out himself.

I didn't think much of it when I saw the raws and the other translation, but knowing this author:

Spoiler: Over the next few chapters

Over the next few chapters most of the girls just outright openly declare war and express their feelings to Kikuru with no way for there to be any misunderstandings.

At least a couple even try to tempt him into making it a physical relationship immediately.


Kikuru is basically forced to make a decision, but it's up to the author to keep creating crazy events and comedic cut-throat/back-stabbing measures enacted by the girls to drag out the romance sub-plot.

Unless Kikuru shockingly chooses someone before most of the main plot resolves itself or the writer goes for giga-based fantasy tier nonsense with a harem route.


There has been some set up for some crazy shit to occur in the next few chapters, so I figure they'll be very busy and Kikuru will have all sorts of drama of his own to distract and delay things.
