It's been established that the supporting cast in the story are not pushovers. The Cardinals might be beyond them, but they're still tough fighters. One of the tropes in isekei that I don't like is where basically aside from the MC the cast are weak and pathetic. Here they are extremely competent, and able to pull off at least a draw against some very powerful enemies relying on their own power instead of Arc.
