At least, the manga did a better job portraying the tension better than the anime without any gratuitous trope.

Darn that director, ruined that confrontational scene of Ariane's in the anime.

Still unfaithful, when it to comes some of Ariane's legit reactions, regarding Manga's Chapter 5 and Episode 3 from the anime.

This is how it was in LN. Why the hell did both manga and anime go for a "lady in distress" for a supposedly strong female character?
