dickhead acts like a dickhead one more time, and then he gets into a relationship with a girl that uses him for money. That starts a pretty good redemption story for dickhead where he ends up with his childhood friend and reconciling with Kousei as they work on a chair for Dickhead’s ailing grandmother together. It’s pretty good.

It's nothing new of course but this Light Novel logic of class castes always weirds me out, if you want to have the normal looking shy dude that's randomly a loner get side-eyed just by interacting with the pretty shouldn't you at least make an effort in that making sense? At least write them a bit more antisocial or something.

You could argue that maybe it's more believable over in Japan but then you can't help noticing those manga written by girls that use shy MCs like MDuD, Tonaneko, Seihantai and there the classmates mostly act like normal people around them, as they should.
