Notice how the author uses appealing female physiques to divert attention from the lack of notable and good side characters

Okay the First drama came in real soon than expected and a bit unnecessary.
But i am not gonna lose my shit over it. Mc and FL are having communication issues. Especially FL i think that point of life was very sensitive for her especially with her health condition & mcs effect on her thats why she kinda got really upset with Kou not remembering her properly, not his fault ofc. its been 10 years
FL doesnt know how to face him after that outburst and feels guilty too. Its just start of the series so i think its fair enough to give them some time to sort this out.

Speaking of DOGUCHI MY THICC GOAT please save them!

I agree that is also a possibility. But even so this is once again something that can be resolved trough plain conversation. Ignoring person for 5 days like this is downright insulting no matter how you look at it. That is why "Fragrant Flower" manga is peak - people actually talk there.

Clear communication is the enemy of rom coms. If everyone was clear and honest with what they feel and think, most rom coms would end sooner than later.
There are great romcoms where the characters do communicate, though. Misunderstandings and issues happen, but people talk and work it out without dragging it along for very long.

Horimiya, You and I Are Polar Opposites, etc.

It can be done, and it's an excellent break from the often clearly forced drama a lot of writers keep adding to pad the story.

At first chapter I said it didn't have a drama tag and that it was "a huge plus!" But the way it's going it deserves a drama tag because how the FMC is acting up and being over dramatic.

And GODDAMN 5 WHOLE FRICKIN DAYS!? I have been left on read and ignored for longer but there where reasons for that but her reason for fuckin ignoring him and leaving him on read for 5 whole days is fucking stupid I might drop this if this stupidity continues dawg what the fuck 😭 this had so much potential to be a somewhat good my dress up darling copy 😭

Pfft. I don’t get why she’s ignoring him. It feels like a totally over-the-top overreaction... :coffee:

Thanks for the chapter!

Imagine your spent your whole childhood basically infatuated with a specific girl because of a shared memory from when you were young doing something specific with her, and then when you grow up and meet her again, she tells you she doesn't even remember you, and also that the thing you remembered doing with her that you thought was a unique memory is just something she did for dozens of other boys too

I hate this stupid ass trope so much. Why is there a need to introduce unnecessary drama that only stalls the story and could be solved by simply talking things out???
And what? Not pad out more chapters? Honestly I get it. But very few series actually avoid the troupe. Unnecessary drama gives the author more time to keep the story ongoing. If they were more honest the series would probably go to about 30-50 chapters.

My problem is less about the trope and more about how long it can be dragged on. Sono Bisque Doll is an example of overusing the "drama that could have ended way sooner if the characters talked instead of saying nothing and avoiding each other" trope
