maybe he did remember but she has a different hair colour, and he believes she only just moved here. obviously he isn't gonna put 2 and 2 together immediately.

most of these comments seem to think that she’s still upset MC doesn’t remember her, but it seems clear that she’s actually just embarrassed and mad at herself for getting so upset and saying something mean and making a scene and now she’s too guilty to even face him.

It’s still tropey and annoying, but not quite in the same way.
Thank you for saying it ! Someone with a brain is always nice to see

Most of these comments would have you believe that she is ungrateful devil's spawn who vehemently hates MC for forgetting her rather than the simpler explanation of her just being an awkward teenage girl who overreacted and doesn't know how to apologize properly. I need to stop reading the comments on this site lol

Could really do without the unnecessary plot-stalling drama caused by a complete lack of basic communication for once in romcom. There are other forms of conflict.

Is tropey, annoying, been there done that, this isn't a chapter, this is the equivalent of a small scene, in anime form this could have happened before the OP, it doesn't even feel like half a chapter. Waiting 15 days for this, is very annoying.

I think I'll put it on hold, it doesnt' seem worth following chapter by chapter.

Maybe the novel's good, but this setup makes it seem like it requires persistence akin to those "you just gotta get through 2 seasons and then it gets great, I swear".
Personally, am on Chapter 80 (out of 225) of the Web Novel. If I had to rate it, it'd probably be an "Eh, it's alright", know what I mean? Not bad, but not great either. Rather cookie cutter thus far.

oh c'mooonn man, you two need clear communication. insensitive MC and heroine who doesn’t communicate enough = deathly combo romantic drama :haa:

Thank you for translating
I wouldn't even call this MC insensitive. He's spent the entire time trying to find a reason why she's ignoring him, and is clearly distressed by it. This isnt even really his fault, yet he's the only one trying to fix the situation.

I still am surprised that she doesn't understand that a hospitalized regular primary schooler looks leagues different from healthy gyaru extroverted high schooler. This conflict is so manufactured it still has its bar code stamped on. (Also lol the guchis come in pairs?)

And once again, a drama that could be fixed if she just talked to him and explained everything.
It's normal to expect that people do not remember you from so long ago.
I am amazed how story writers in Japan cannot fathom that such artificial drama is just making people pissed in the end.

For someone stating that "most of these comments" are making false claims erroneously blaming the FL for something, you've done a fantastic job of pulling the same stunt in an effort to smear random strangers.

I agree that is also a possibility. But even so this is once again something that can be resolved trough plain conversation. Ignoring person for 5 days like this is downright insulting no matter how you look at it. That is why "Fragrant Flower" manga is peak - people actually talk there.

I don't expect this to be groundbreaking or anything yeah.

Was mostly a case of the pacing of this adaptation, and stating that it's rather slow--and if things do improve, then it's unfortunate that readers are being asked to "trust" and deal with multiple chapters of this dynamic before being "rewarded with good writing".

I think the thing that gets me, is that she's supposed to be the extroverted gyaru who's super popular in class and able to carry conversations with people and speak her mind.
She does it with every other student we've seen her interact with. Even when confronted by that one jerk, she didn't get outraged--she was calm even as she smacked him into the wall.

It's only with the ML that she turns into a blithering fool who reacted so strongly in what seemed (clearly even to the ML) like an outsized manner to something innocuous. Yes, she's now incredibly embarrassed, but how is she able to be so "together" with everyone else around her, but not this one guy, and after so few present-day interactions?

You're right - it's one thing to misunderstand and get upset. But the five days of radio silence, plus the active ignoring at school, is a bit much even for this context. I'm kind of amazed the ML cares enough to persist at this point, given there's not really been a lot to establish a rapport between them where I would believe he should be compelled to do so.

The dearth of foundational setup between them in the first four chapters doesn't really mesh with him still trying to rectify things to this extent in so one-sided a manner.
If he'd been written as a simp who was after her from the get-go, it'd be one thing. But there's really not been enough established between them, in my mind, to warrant this degree of effort on his part.
