One game on top of my head is Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep where there's an EXP Chance ability to increase EXP gained if HP is at <25% IIRC, which sounds the annoying critical HP warning alarm. Coupled with very slow grind to max lvl makes people mute the game lol.
