Unless I missed something WHY would he want to be a rabbit? Where would that desire come from anyway, ya know, from all his time living normally like a human, or barring him being a furry.

Perhaps that tiny desire came from "she'll still love me even if I'm a worm rabbit". I'm sorry, but this all seems like shitty forced drama to me.

Because of that fear that she will no longer like him if he's just a human.
