I hope this manga manages to pull through. I really can't buy it right now, but I will get a digital copy in 2 weeks at most...

Does anyone know, when the deadline is?

PS: I obviously bought a copy. Let's hope, we make it.

If the information on the last page is accurate, there should still be quite a few months to go before it gets axed. Seems like chapters are being released on a monthly basis, so even 6 chapters means half a year.

Of course the decision might come out earlier and idk if it can be reversed, but we at the very least should have until Vol.2 comes out, so a couple months if it gets 5 chapters like vol.1.

My guess is that the final decision will be based on how much vol.2 sells, otherwise it will end on vol.3. Would be nice to get an official confirmation tho.

Luckily I have a Bookwalker account already and the yen is crazy weak against the dollar right now. Only ~$4.50 for the first volume. Won’t say it’s my favorite series but it certainly deserves to stick around more than some others.

Just bought a copy from Amazon.jp. It may not be enough but it's sad to see such a cute series have to end so soon. :meguuusad:

There is little we know about Japan's popularity system, but my best guess is that vol.2 (coupled with vol.1's extra sale after this point) will probably be the deciding factor. Usually if publishers are given a manga 2 volume, there's a chance they'll count total sale and decide whether or not they'd proceed past vol.3

I'm buying. That call to arms might not do much, but just know it was not for nothing.

Dude 40 cad for a 700 yen manga is crazy. Was digital not an option?

Digital doesn't appear to be an option for me either, wtf? I hate licensing and distribution rights, I hate intellectual property law, this shit is fake as hell and just leads to art getting commodified and artists being taken advantage of. I'm happy to part with ¥750, that's pocket change, but asking me to spend like 8x that on just paying distributors and licensors and freighting companies? Why are Japanese publishers allergic to money?

I love the author's art as it is very cute and expressive. Even if this manga cancelled, I hope the author will get up again and didn't give up

To sum it up: A cheap Nisekoi knockoff, suffering from the same fucking "we're ONLY pretending to date" (Like dude, WTF, if you commit to propose to the girl you like THEN man the fuck up and show it to the world goddamn it). I appreciate the art and a somewhat believable story (Where the dad is given a clear reason to be a worrywart, same as big sis), but this isn't going to help with the main couple being so blissfully ignorant to their immanent threat, and this just won't promise an actual interesting story where we already see it's going.

(Sorry for going on a rant Author-san, if you're reading this I apologize for the blunt feedback).
what?
no, they are officially dating. At least it's seems like that
