Not true. Most people worked 12 hour shifts, or however long the sun was up. And during those 12 hours they did backbreaking manual labor. It was rare for people to live past 50 just due to the wear on their bodies, and those that did were living with arthritis pain everywhere from the decades long manual labor. If they disnt do manual labor due to being rich then they were getting diabetes or coronary heart failure from all the crap they were eating. Capitalism wasnt "invented" it is just a word we use to describe a market system of private enterprises.
