I dont think the plan is bad in concept.

Eliminating the emperor and Piña just erases Japan war justification.

And zorzal would be the legitimate emperor.

Problem is, he plans to siege a city as fast as the japanese can return to reinforce Italika.

You're gonna march an army through an open plain when you know your enemies have air superiority? Are they betting that the JSDF deployed their entire force to Marles and have no reserves? Do they think they can take the city of Italica before the JSDF can respond? Either way, it's just a terrible idea because they have no way of holding the city even if they take it. A war of attrition with guerilla tactics was the better approach. Bleed our their money and men until the politics back home force them to retreat.

I think that Zorzal's ego, along with the fanaticism of the sweepers, contributes to the unrealistic tactics.
