Just saw the whole manga for the first time in a few days. Although I was for Yuki x Seiji, the way Shou was handled was bad. Anyway, we still got a happy ending IMO, these 2 chap of their lives are truly heartwarming, but the 10 years time skip is low effort writing. I needed a few chapter of them post the Yuki escape and their life while living together...

I have never been more happy with the ending of a series.
I finished Domestic Girlfriend before I checked this out and honestly I'm glad I did cuz I wasn't nearly as happy about that ending.
This made me so happy.

@CBFlap Shou made her choice when she skipped that lunch date way back when, opening the door for Yuki who, as we saw over and over, even when they weren't together, even when they pretended to barely know each other, was inextricably bound with Seiji. He couldn't NOT be there for her. Even if he'd stayed with Shou, he'd just have come running whenever Yuki was in a hassle again. She shouldn't have gone back to Kento, naturally, but a long-term relationship with Seiji would've meant sharing something lesser for them both: him pretending his heart was fully with her, her pretending that was fine.

Translation of the last msg-

Afterword

Hello everyone, it's Kei Sasuga. We've finally reached the ending! As I also wrote in the cover comments, I'm truly grateful to everyone who has stayed with us until now!

It all started when I received the right to publish in Weekly Shonen Magazine, and I hurriedly put together a story.

Thankfully, it was well-received, and it turned into a rushed serialization. Without much preparation time, we started in a flurry. I never imagined it would become such a long series, so I was surprised myself when it went past 10 volumes. (I was thinking of wrapping it up neatly around 8 volumes.)

However, during that time, the episodes expanded, new characters were added, and I think I was able to portray the personalities of each character more deeply.

I think there were many darker stories, such as Yuki's past, Akari's heartbreak, and Izumi's past, to depict as a romance in a shonen magazine. The protagonists struggle to come to terms with such unavoidable pain and try to recover. These kinds of similar feelings are common in love and life. I hoped to create a story that could be a companion to those who feel that way, even if it can't erase those feelings. So, as I wrote before, if you're reading this in your teens, you might see it differently if you reread it around your mid-30s. (laughs)

I'm writing this after finishing all the manuscripts, including the bonus pages.

I'm overjoyed that I was able to finish without leaving anything unsaid and reach the ending I envisioned.

However, I'll miss seeing characters like Natsuo and Yuki, whom I've been seeing almost every day for the past few years.

Well, they'll live their lives, bickering and fighting over trivial things, and going through various hardships, but hopefully, they'll have fulfilling lives!

Kei Sasuga

Well then! Thank you so much for your support until the end!!!!

Bottom Section (Speech Bubbles):

Natsuo: "Don't get divorced so easily!"
Hina: "Stay strong!"

I don't get it where Natsuo and Hina comes in this story may be sensei messed up with Domestic girlfriend at some point here.
