Do gears tick? It feels like that metaphor, or perhaps that translation, is a little iffy there. Unless I'm mistaken, either it should have been the 'turning of the gears', or the 'tick of the clock'.

Thank you, I was wondering this as well. Were the effects on Russia the same IRL as theyre described in this comic? I wonder if we'll see Putin, or a Putin expy at some point. I dont know as much about Russian history as I should but IIRC Putin took power because he provided a degree of stability and prosperity following the near-apocalyptic chaos of the 90s in Russia, didnt he? This seems like the sort of thing I heard about in that respect.
