that's... so the refugees that ran away quite a few chapters ago become major players...ugh...how weak is this demon lord anyway? xD
Demon Lord Divalroi. People mishear her name as Divalroi, which is actually Divaloid (yes, the same as the Vocaloid we know). Divalroi/Divaloid (full name Divaloid Mao) is actually an AI, which in the past was tasked with managing this planet. This planet was actually Earth mankind's biological experiments site in the future, but has been abandoned. So, MC was actually summoned to another planet in the future.

You just explained in such details that it made me want to continue reading the novel. I just stopped at vol. 14, where Fuuga Han just started to be a formidable leader.
Beware, Fuuga Han arc is very depressing, where the MC turns into a wimp, dancing in Fuuga's hand palm. He did whatever Fuuga asked. He also changed from a "realist" to an "idealist". Giving medical technology to Fuuga, his arch enemy (which is capable of destroying his country in the future) for free? Seriously? At least use it as a bargaining chip in politics or something. Some people say that the quality of the stories in the last 3-4 volumes has dropped drastically.

To those asking if this is new wife. No, this high elf isn’t.

From LN, Souma’s list of wives.
Liscia - Elfrieden princess
Roroa - Amidonian princess
Aisha - daughter of dark elf chief
Juna - granddaughter of Duchess Walter
Naden - a ryuu, her ryuu form is based off the Chinese dragons.
Maria Euphoria - Euphoria Empress
Yuriga Haan - younger sister of Fuuga Haan

The last two happen much much much later in the LN.

You forgot the eighth wife in the list. The last is Juno

As of right now for official ENG TL of LN hasnt confirmed it yet. The current volume that was released for official ENG didn’t hint anything about that. That’s why I didn’t include her yet.

This is due to current volume is still in the middle of direct confrontation between Souma and Fuuga. Souma pulled something on Fuuga’s army, which involved Juno's adventurer party. Juno’s current location is very far away from the kingdom doing something.

Right now I don’t know if the LN will include Juno as the eighth wife. So currently she's not included in the list for the LN at least. And since authors sometimes changes their mind, we have to wait and see.

Actually, what is called the Demon Lord’s domain, most of it was taken by the monsters. This is what Fuuga finds out as he didn’t encounter the Demon Lord’s army until he hit a certain point where he wanted to drag Souma with him to do the final push together. Souma reluctantly agrees because Souma worries Fuuga’s strategist might use Souma’s refusal against him as a reason to invade Friedonia. Fuuga’s strategist is from of the Chima family and has a nasty strategist mind. Even if one of his family members are involved it doesn’t deter him from doing it. We had several examples, one of the sister’s new happy life getting ruined by him, her foster father killed and now she vows to kill said brother. Or him against his own father and then after getting the information he needed, kills his father.

You just explained in such details that it made me want to continue reading the novel. I just stopped at vol. 14, where Fuuga Han just started to be a formidable leader.

Souma and Fuuga’s relationship
Their relationship has always been complicated from the start. When the two first meet in the Duchy of Chima, Fuuga is the first to realize how dangerous Souma is due to his intuition, Fuuga also says he can't get a read on Souma as a person. Souma finds out via Aisha, that Aisha believes Fuuga is stronger than her which surprises him since Souma thought Aisha was the strongest person he knew. Souma gets a good read on Fuuga's personality and warns Hal by telling him to think of his loved ones. This later turns out to be true as Hal almost succumbs to Fuuga's natural charisma and almost was about to fight to the death for Fuuga against the monster horde. It was only Souma's words that he immediately thinks about Kaede and Ruby and actually snaps out of it. While fighting against the monster Horde, Fuuga's battle prowess is revealed and shows just how strong he is, think of the game Dynasty Warriors. Fuuga basically is like that 1 vs 1000 type character that can overturn a battle in his favor. This is what Souma fears from Fuuga, Fuuga on the other hand thinks that fighting Souma would lead the battle into a quagmire where it slows down so badly that the fighting would become tedious.

Due to their first interaction, the two have this friendly relationship that's almost like good friends/brothers. Fuuga being the overbearing one due to his straightforward personality and Souma having to deal with it in some way. This leads to Fuuga entrusting Yuriga to Souma since Fuuga wants Yuriga to be safe while he's doing his whole unification conquest.

Over the course of Fuuga's conquest of the continent, the two remain in this weird relationship. Fuuga knows Souma's doing stuff but doesn't know what exactly it is. Meanwhile, Souma understands that the current era is Fuuga's since Fuuga is considered a "Great Man" as Fuuga is basically leading the change on the continent. The reason why Souma is so passive about things is because of what he studied in history. That certain historical figures that were considered "Great Men" were very difficult to stop until the era no longer needed them. In Fuuga's case, his growing empire had many of the defeated follow Fuuga's lead, thinking that Fuuga's conquest has a meaning that their defeat at his hands had meaning. The masses under Fuuga follow his great dream, while also expressing their own wishes and Fuuga isn't deaf to them. If Souma refuses to help Fuuga, the masses under Fuuga might call for Souma's downfall, Souma understands that Fuuga will answer that call if becomes big enough. Souma maintains a status quo with Fuuga to avoid getting Friedonia involved in a war against Fuuga before they are ready.

Fuuga and Souma understand the other rather well despite having not too many interactions with each other. Fuuga's intuition about Souma is also proven when his younger sister Yuriga also begs Fuuga to not fight Souma, to be wary of him. Later down the line, it gets to the point where she doesn't wish her brother and soon-to-be husband to fight each other at all, and tries to deter Fuuga from going to war with Friedonia after they solved the Demon Lord's Domain issue. However this ends up in vain as Fuuga and Souma, as of the current official ENG TL of the LN, are now engaged in war.

Who I believe is the main issue about Souma's handling of things during the whole Fuuga arc.
Rather the main culprit in my opinion that is the source of many of issues involving Souma is actually Hashim Chima, Fuuga's strategist. Fuuga and Souma don't hate each other. They've maintained a rather friendly relationship over the course of the LN.

Rather Hashim's being involved with the unification of the continent is why Souma is having a difficult time. I mentioned before that Hashim has already shown several times that even family will not deter him from committing to the cause. This has already resulted in the death of the Chima family's father, and the ruin of a Chima sister's new happy life that includes the deaths of her new foster family. His plots also included trying to capture the Lastanian royal family, MAYBE having them executed and recruiting Julius to their cause, failing to do so they would kill Julius too.

Julius along with the Lastanian royal family were able to seek asylum in Friedonia. Julius remarks that Hashim is a schemer that would plot things that Fuuga normally wouldn't do on his own. This complicates matters, Fuuga was easy to read and his personality is straightforward, due to this they thought some kind of weakness could be found. However now that Hashim has joined Fuuga's side, it has become harder to predict what they would do. At first when Julius and the Lastanian royal family were seeking asylum, Souma and Julius had expected a demand from Fuuga for the Lastanian royal family, however the opposite happened. It was said that Fuuga graciously gave the former Lastanian royal family their belongings back as a message, however this was Hashim's message. He had the Lastanian people who submitted to Fuuga's rule to gather the belongings and send them to the former Lastanian royal family. This was to serve as a message that the Lastanian people no longer wanted the royal family to return. Sadly this also indicates that Fuuga and Hashim get along better than expected. Julius joins Souma and strategizes with Hakuya to counter Hashim's schemes.

Medical technology issue
The number of nations doing medical reforms at the point in the story when the Spirit Kingdom had a disease outbreak was limited to a small number. Friedonia, the Gran Chaos Empire, the Republic of Turgis and the Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago Union. The other remaining nations: The Great Tiger Kingdom of Haan, Nothung Dragon Knight Kingdom, Lunarian Orthodox Papal State, Mercenary State Zem, and Spirit Kingdom of Garlan didn't even have this kind of medical advancement. Particularly the Spirit Kingdom being as secular as it was.

The outbreak in the Spirit Kingdom which also affected Fuuga's forces showed how bad an epidemic would be. Because of Fuuga's side lacking in medical knowledge an epidemic among them could have easily destroyed it. This resulted in a conference how to handle it. Despite how this could be used in politics, Souma points out that the outbreak they just dealt with was fortunately contained to a single island. However the fear of an outbreak happening on the continent was also high since Fuuga's Great Tiger Kingdom of Haan now borders the Demon Lord's domain and his people lack the basic medical knowledge. Maria comments how history has already had several countries already wiped out by epidemics before. The six nations involved in the conference agree that for the sake of the whole continent has to cooperate in order to prevent future epidemics. Despite the diplomatic card Friedonia has, Souma thinks that helping Fuuga's and Sill's people learn medicine from their country should be a priority. Although Friedonia is leading the medical reforms, the Gran Chaos Empire also was doing the same to match Friedonia. Thus these two nations would accept students from the other nations. It wasn't limited to just the Great Tiger Kingdom, rather they were trying to get other nations to be at the same level as them when it comes to medical reform and to prevent epidemics. They wanted to make sure that the issue of epidemics could be handled well.

This doesn't sound like something they should be telling someone they just met, and he's from another kingdom, basically a spy
Well as she just explained in her story, she pretty much has zero allegiance to any country.

Do you remember which chapter is this?
I do not remember. It might've been when the scientist girl showed up. But he was saying how he wasn't too sure 'spirits' were real and such. I'm not saying this girl's theory is the same as his. Just his "Are the spirits even real in the first place" theory is coming into play.
